FRESH FROM MARÉE FARMS

Microgreens.
Small leaves.
Big flavor.

Microgreens are young, edible vegetable and herb seedlings, harvested soon after their first leaves develop. Tender, colorful, and full of flavor, they’re an easy addition to salads, sandwiches, eggs, and grain bowls.

These little greens can provide vitamins C, E, and K, beta-carotene, and other beneficial plant compounds. Many varieties contain higher concentrations of some nutrients than their mature counterparts, although amounts vary by plant and growing conditions. They’re a fresh, flavorful way to add variety to a balanced diet.

Our honey comes from Shannon Farms, a Southwest Florida beekeeping business led by Paul Shannon. We’re happy to share a little local sweetness with you here at Marée Farms.

Shana’s plant boutique & DIY potting bar.

Sincerely Succulents is Shana’s independently run small business, nestled right here within Marée Farms. With its own personality and planting experiences, it’s a special part of our shared destination—explore the nursery, then settle in and create something of your own.

Inside her air-conditioned boutique, you’ll find plants, pots, and plant-inspired gifts. At the DIY potting bar, beginners and plant lovers alike can make a succulent arrangement, terrarium, or houseplant design to take home.

  1. Choose your favorites. Pick a pot, plants, and decorative touches.
  2. Make it yours. Plant your design with guidance and care tips from her team.
  3. Take home a little joy. Leave with an arrangement you created yourself.

A LITTLE ABOUT OUR FARM FAMILY

The world of sulcatas.

What are sulcata tortoises?

Also called African spurred tortoises, sulcatas are large, land-dwelling reptiles with sandy-brown shells and strong digging legs. They are the world’s largest mainland tortoises and can live for many decades, making their care a lifelong commitment.

Habitat & shelter

Native to Africa’s Sahel region, sulcatas live in dry grasslands along the southern edge of the Sahara and dig burrows for shelter. In human care, they need a spacious, securely enclosed grassy area, sun and shade, and warm shelter during cold weather. They do not hibernate.

A grass-based diet

These plant-eating grazers need a high-fiber diet based mainly on grasses and grass hay. Suitable leafy greens and pesticide-free edible plants, such as hibiscus leaves and flowers, add variety. Fruit should not be a staple, and animal protein should be avoided. Clean drinking water should always be available.
